Book Review: Into The Magic Shop

Reading “Into The Magic Shop” felt like diving into a mix of two fantastic books: “The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner ” and “My Name is Love” by Troy Haddad.

I stumbled upon Dr. Doty’s podcast and immediately grabbed his two books. Though I’m on a reading break now, I can’t wait to start his latest, “Mind Magic.”

What stood out most was how Mr. Doty shared his life story. He went from a tough childhood to embracing self-care and meditation, making it seem like magic. Ruth, his mentor, called her teachings magic, and they truly felt that way – like secrets to a better life.

Dr. Doty ensured we understood that these things work, drawing from his experiences instead of getting bogged down in science talk. That made it easier to connect with his story.

While “Into The Magic Shop” can help you out of a funk, it’s not just about reading—you’ve got to put the ideas into action. Since reading it, I’ve started focusing more on quieting my mind and opening my heart.

Mr. Doty’s journey, from nothing to great wealth and then back again, is something. He doesn’t like labels, but his story is eye-opening. Despite losing millions, he found his magic and grew as a person.

It reminds us that life is magical, even when things get tough. Dr. Doty’s story encourages us to appreciate the wonder around us.

One topic he discusses that hits home is how disconnected we’ve become from each other. I worry about this, too, but he reminds us to keep reaching out and building connections, even when it’s tough.

To summarize, “Into The Magic Shop” isn’t just about reading – it’s about living. It’s a reminder to chase what truly matters and leave the ego behind. It’s a book that sticks with you.
